Dear students and teachers,

This is our website - it is here to tell people about our school and showcase our learning.
We also  hope that it can assist us in our learning - please let us know if you have ideas on how we can build it into something even better!

Dear visitors,

We take this opportunity to welcome you and your children to our school community. We trust that together we will be able to contribute to your child's growth and that you will be able to help in the development of   Broadford Primary School .

We look forward to your participation and support in the activities of the school in the years to come.

From the onset, we would like you to be aware of our desire to work in co-operation with you, that together we can do everything possible to make your child's school days happy and successful.

Maintaining an involvement in your child's education is most important to ensure a close relationship between home and school. A good relationship will encourage positive attitudes and outcomes for your child.

Communication between home and school is also essential.

We produce a weekly newsletter and notices that are taken to and from school by the children.  When you ask for notices and newsletters and put them up on the fridge or noticeboard, your actions tell your child that you believe what happens at school is important.

Communication also occurs through parent information nights, parent teacher interviews and written reports.

Children learn so that they can take part in the community. For this reason, many lessons are held away from the school in the form of camps and excursions. Generally they are for a half or full day. Sometimes for older children they last for up to a week. It is essential that children take part in all these lessons.

Early work will focus on ensuring your child is happily secure in the school situation. The social and emotional adjustments he/she has to make when starting at a school for the first time are vital factors in his/her development.

If, at any time, there are matters that are of concern to you, please feel free to come and discuss them either with the Principal or Year Level Co-ordinator.
Arrangements can also be made for you to talk to the classroom teachers.

We hope that your family’s association with the school will be both enjoyable and rewarding.
